I don't pretend to be photographer. I just had my cell phone. Michael and I were planning on going to the museum for the afternoon but I wanted to go to the protest first. Well needless to say we never made it there and were captivated by the spirit of the protest. My goal was to provide a pictorial documentary of the occupy wall street protest.

I heard people in all types of languages reporting on the protest. I saw mothers with small children, old people, Hasidic Jews, a police officer, office workers and of course college students expressing themselves.

I took pictures of every protest sign in the park the afternoon of October 18th. I hope that the kindred spirit of the poignant to simplistic signs inspire and continue to inspire the 99% to speak up in their way and be heard.
